my hunky caveman & i finished our whole30 paleo challenge on feb. 13.
i started off valentine's day with some coconut coffee creamer,
which i had really really really missed.
i over indulged and had 3 cups of coffee... before work.
(i made the 3rd decaf, but i was on a caffeine overload & shaky & nervous)
slim made a roasted sweet potato, apples & cinnamon & chicken sausage
scramble that was absolutely delicious- it was a great start to the day.
chocolate & treats were everywhere:
in art group, at the office & there was some waiting for me at home.
i didn't indulge all day long . i just didn't want to. i wasn't craving it.
when i got home we made dinner & had some red wine & i had one piece
of sweetness: a cocoa-coconut cluster ball from the box slim gave me.
mouth-watering just thinking about it.
if i didn't feel as good & lean & healthy & strong as i do now i
probably would have gone back to gluten & sugar & wheat & dairy-
but i feel so good. my skin is clear and my body feels clean.
i was at first a skeptic, but now i'm a believer.
i'm not saying i'll never have a slice of bread again or eat ice cream, but
i am loving the way i feel.
i'm proud of myself. i've taken such good care of my body.
i know everything i've eaten has been whole and natural and good.
paleo can be challenging at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy.
we cooked everyday- morning & night. we prepared ourselves.
we experimented with new spices & recipes & educated ourselves.
slim is a really good and patient cook. i loved being in the kitchen
with him & creating new &exciting meals together.
be picky with your foods. spend a little extra on yourself.
you only get one body- take good care of it.
