my grandma ruth is amazing.

she just turned 90 and she's a real gem.

we were just in new york celebrating her

birthday and helping her transition to georgia.

she'll be living with my parents, which is awesome

because we live so close, we can hangout a lot.

i've never had the luxury of having my grandparent's

live close by, so i'm very excited to have grandma here.

here we were last night watching the oscars,

 drinking tea and eating hamentashen!

Since the Violence Against Women Act was enacted in 1994,

 incidents of domestic violence have fallen by more than 50 percent.

But now VAWA has expired...

and House Republicans refuse to reauthorize it. 

Here's the bottom line:

Programs to protect women can't be expanded 

or improved until VAWA is reauthorized:
