slim & i ventured back to class this week!

here we are on tuesday night.

slim is taking a photography class

at kennesaw state university &

i am taking a metalsmithing class

at atlanta art worx .

this class was a birthday gift from slim!

we got right into getting our hands dirty the first night!

our first creation was a copper cuff.

it was really cool learning about all the different 

tools & how handmade jewelry is made.

we started with a 6 inch piece copper...

and hammered & filed & hammered..

and ended up with a gorgeous lil' bangle cuff.

i'm looking forward to learning so much this quarter

 & creating & learning about the craft.

my fabulous cori's cousin is awesome.

she is a fantastic artist who just sent cori a

few fabulous surprises, including this bike sticker that

cori so generously gave to me!

i reprized my role as arts & crafts lady at the annual

  bregman educational conference.

making fabric flowers has never been this exciting! 

the participant loved it and were so proud if their creations.

i taught my first yoga class today!

i was nervous, but i think it went well-

my (2) students said they enjoyed!

moma's lace necklace.

i've been really into creating fabric flowers and ventured out

and experimented with lace....

i liked the idea, but the lace was too tall and the flowers came out too big...

i used old buttons in the middle, but you can hardly see them.

so.... i gave it to moma girl & she loved it.
