In a similar vein, one of my friend's MFA show was a bunch of prints of lacy doilies that, if you looked closely, were made of tiny little airplanes in a pattern. (Did that make sense? Anyway, it looked very like this but with airplanes instead of Xs.) They were gorgeous and awesome.
hey jen! that sounds amazing! that totally makes sense (in the way that i can picture it in my head and be amazed)! i love lace and doilies and all that delicate stuff...
