life's a party. rock your body.

marcel the shell reminds
me of my friend kathryn.
they don't look alike or anything...
i think it's because kathryn was the one
who first introduced  me to marcel.
it's hard not to smile.
shrimps are the idiots of the sea.

also, drunk babies.

atlanta pride.

i spent pride saturday in the park
with my favorite people!
brother jared + i making our heads
hello kitty eyes.
my college roomie &
the most positive person i know, sam jam
came to town for the weekend.
cheers to love & acceptance of
all of our brothers & sisters.
hello lipstick!
the most gorgeous bachelor
at atlanta pride.so dreamy!

recent purchases.

i am a bargain shopper.
i'd love to say that i was one of those
'quality over quantity' types of buyers
but i am not. and i am not ashamed.
o my goodness how my house would be so
less cluttered and our closest would be
less packed & somewhat organized
& i would not have to take up
every closet in our house with my
clothes, shoes, coats & accessories.
i love my clutter & stuff.
i also love my accepting partner who
is okay with me slowly taking over...

my dad would always say to me:
buy better & buy less.
i love that advice, but honestly
it's just not in my genetic make-up...
i guess i'm more mandel in my shopping
preferences and less levine.

with that said, here's a few deals i recently scored.
classic frye harness 12r boots
found on amazon for about $150
retail $268.
wool blend baseball jacket
oldnavy.com $20, down from $50
plaid-panel coccoon sweater
gap $12, down from $45
toms black jacquard desert wedges.
gifted, but the buyer got a GREAT deal!
like $45, down from $99.

currently reading..

Brain on Fire by Susannah Cahalan. I couldn't put this one down, constantly wanting to know what would happen on the next page. A scary reality and very eye opening, a case that will hopefully open lots of doors for auto immune diseases and bridges the gap between psychology and neurology.
engaging & thrilling.

seyc.

i had the pleasure of volunteering & attending the
9th annual southeast yoga conference on sunday.
i took 3 different workshops, each 2 hours long.
it was a solid mix of hard work, self exploration,
excitement, education and mindfulness.

it was such a wonderful event
with amazing & talented people.
i felt connected to my community
and left feeling energized & grounded.
join me next year!
