pull-up club.

we started a pull-up club at cfsq
we're all working on getting stronger & mastering pull-ups 
(might even throw in some kipping practice) 
all while laughing throughout our sometimes 
sorry attempts at getting our heads over the bar.
lookin' good ladies!

the hammer.

crossfit has been kicking my lil tushy.
we've been doing some workouts named after
fallen military soldiers.
last night we did the hammer:
5 rounds of
power cleans, front squats & jerks
and then a boat load of pull ups.
i used a 65lb bar. the rx was 135lb.
the squats were killer.
my wrists were immediately sore
by the time i got to the jerks in each round
my arms felt like jello...& then go straight into 20 pull ups!
i finished in a little under 29 minutes.
there was a mandatory 90 second rest between sets.
that was nice!
my hands are looking (and feeling) rough!
