charleston

a few weeks ago we vetured to the beautiful land
of charleston, south carolina for some r&r.
the atherton's, some of my families oldest friends moved
to charleston recently and live in the most amazing home.
this is a picture from their dock, that's their mansion back there....
the sky was breathtaking, perfect for a nice pinky sunset.
we got eaten alive by the swamp.

beautiful pals on the boat.
the world is our oyster...
love me some shadow pictures.
the weather was just perfect.
workin' on our jump shots...
this was take 7 of like 500.
jared created a one of a kind monogrammed
sand square for the bride to be.
jared with raf & his masterpiece.

sunshine and smiles with tj & raf.
its nice to have a friend with a boat!

movie trailers

i love watching movie trailers.
*i rarely go to the movies, but i love movie trailers.
lea & i are known to watch front row for hours and laugh, cry, scream,
hide our faces in fear and have heart-warming-butterflies in our stomachs.
jim & i just watched a few...
the vow.
*i cried.
beautiful boy.
*cried during this one too.
margaret.
*didn't cry, but think i will during the movie.

samjam love.

raffy & i stopped by charlotte on the way to a
college friend's wedding in mooresville, nc.
we stayed with our fabulous old pal, samjam.
sam was always a blond, but we were
pleasantly surprised to see her a a fiery redhead!
we ate sushi at a uppity joint and then hit the clubs
*i wore my birkenstocks and didn't fit in w/ the 5 inch heelers.
we meet this flying lady in the bathroom
and then watched her amazing performance.
*yea, that's a lace leotard.
sam's buddy becca hungout with us and she was really fun.
here we are in the elevator.
this was right b4 we got kicked out of vip.

charlotte reminded me of the jersey shore.
everyone was so fancy and greased up.
next time i go, i'm going all out- jerseylicious style.

wicked nice city.

jimbo & i explored boston for 2 days.
while exploring the north end we found a fabulous farmer's market!
every window had a flower box blossoming with red roses- very cheery.
i attempted ah thick bostonian accent all day- jim loved it.
mighty nice catch, if i do say so myself!

the old buildings wah breathtaking.
i felt like we were in a (super chic) history book.
this is the trinity episcopalian church.
we visited on a sunday and got to walk through during the service.
it was huge and under construction, really cool and spiritual.
i loved this dentist's window sign.
*i always like to say "be yourself & you'll always be in style".
those flowers were so tall and smushy.
we saw everyone walking around with these cute lil mike's pastry boxes,
so of course we had to indulge in a tourist trap!
we got a chocolate chip cannoli and an almond macaroon.
the macaroon was so good and very almondy.
it was really different than the macaroons we've been making.
the cannoli was delicious and extremely messy to eat-.
we went to a beautiful sunny park and devoured both!
