weekend review.

we spent the weekend welcoming fall and loving that slim
has finished his program and was able to join the living again!

we had a few movie gift cards so we went to see
trouble with the curve which was awesome. the movie was filmed in
atlanta & a few of the extras from the movie were in the audience
and were going crazy when they showed up on screen.
after the movie we went to our local starbucks & in the
tradition of welcoming the autumnal season, i had a
pumpkin spice latte. delicious!
we meet up with the buckerts on saturday morning for a nice
hike on the cheatham hill trail & then hit up great harvest bread
company where owen enjoyed some monkey bread!
those buckert boys are so cute & sweet & lovey.
after the hike we hit the house hard for the rest of the weekend.
we spray painted these cute iron chairs we found for free down the
street. we sprayed them apple red and i am currently on the search
for the perfect oil cloth fabric to make the cushions outdoor ready.
we scrubbed our old wood floors and put out our new rug!
i went flower planting crazy and planted pansies & kale all over.
i also finally found a good home for our aloe plant in one of
the leftover decorations from our wedding...
slim spent some time working on his school blog so
i escaped to target to check out the new fall fashions.
i decided not to get this dress... but i'm still thinking about it
i think i'll go back & grab it... it was only $24.99.
slim and i cut out tv a few months ago & seriously
have not missed it. our cable bill was over $90 bucks so
we decided to save the green and spend more time exploring,
reading, crafting, biking & being present with each other...
last night we got an antenna & now have about 15 channels
that we can watch for free- and they're in hd.
the emmy's last night were so funny. tv came back just in time!
slim surprised me with a little dessert sampler:
mini key lime pie, mini blondie & a tiny cannoli.

  1. We cut out cable, too, a few months ago and haven't turned back! :)
