raging cajun bride-to-be.

my gorgeous friend heather is getting
married this friday!
here's a few pics from her shower.
heather + me.
we bought heather + mike that huge bowl,
it's so delicate & beautiful, like ceramic lace.
heather's aunt made her this ridiculous quilt.
the most amazing group of humans.
lucky, lucky me.

farm trip.

we took a trip down to the farm
over slim's spring break..
our newphews, owen + oliver have tongues.
owen & slim braved pappy jack.
oliver & i did not.
boot, mini boot + me.

i'm meg.

i took the 'which little woman are you'
buzzfeed quiz and i got meg.
of course, i would have loved to get jo,
but i'm just so thankful i didn't get beth...
*don't know why i didn't want to be beth?
shame on you, go read the book.

shoes.

i have a few pairs of shoes...
taking it one pair at a time.

lion king live.

for my birthday, lea bought tickets
to the lion king at the fox.
what an absolutely incredible show.
lea & i were in tears within minutes of the start.

blues & brews for barry.

need an event planned? call lea.
Blues & Brews for Barry
lea put on an amazing event for our friends,
the costello family. it was a super fun fundraiser to help
send barry to a speech clinic in michigan.
the event was at red hare brewing co. in marietta.
the brews were tasty & the blues were rocking!
my pops came!
you can't tell from this pic, but he was having a blast!
k+b ventured outside of the perimeter play!
hunk-a hunk-a burning love.
my raffy.
we took the brewery tour.
that sign says something about 'taking a keg'
from this room will result in death or something.
jared & emily touching things they shouldn't.
our amazing gym really showed their support!
*working out with people you like really helps
motivate you to continue working out!
barry & his lovely ladies.
i am so proud of lea.
she is such a compassionate & supportive friend.

look up.

this is amazing.
it might seem crazy that i am posting this
on a blog, but i love this message.
i am constantly trying to unplug more.
i am just as guilty of looking down when
i should be looking up & connecting.
i am easily annoyed when i am with people
& they're looking down.
it just doesn't feel good.
let's encourage each other to look up.
there's nothing on our phones that's
more important than friends (in the flesh).

two things.
