the tasting.

i can't believe i did it, but the following

night, after the lewis show, and a huge work

event for me, our annual caregiver retreat...

slim & i got all jazzed up & went to a fundraiser event 

for my agency called the tasting.

it was a delicious & fun event.

i didn't event miss the booze, there was plenty of

desserts to keep me busy!

my feet were so tired. 

i slept so well that night!

snow days.

our 2 weeks of snow days.

we borrowed the radio flyer from my

ma-in-law. here, slim is coating it with

a candle for optimal speed.

we also got a lot of use out of these

plastic sleds we borrowed.

we hiked behind our neighborhood where

there's a little outdoor crossfit gym setup-

with company like this, cabin fever isn't so bad.

slim & i started watching hatfields & mccoys,

a great 3 part miniseries.

we're also watching true detective. WOW.

it's a great show.. really intense & smart &

quiet & creepy & thought provoking.

in my car on the road for over 6 hours.. 

i so wish i was wearing some sensible shoes,

i think i would have ditched my car and walked home.

*those are toms wedges (in camo) i scored for a killlllller deal.

**toms wedges are so comfortable & casual & cute.

i just love catching a spelling error on tv.

slim & i went to the farm a few weeks ago

and our friends ryan & erin joined us.

we were fresh back from NY & sitting shiva

 & needed some farm time.

on the ride down, i enjoyed practicing my 

spelling skills with trader joe's cinnamon cookies.

we went down to pappy jack, a magical

swimming hole. it's so beautiful & freezing cold.

perfect hanging job at 10pm on a school night!

i love the south because my sweet slim is here...

slim & i went out last weekend & caught up 

with our besties at auguestine's in grant park.

*heather was there for a quick second

& jared was at the farm. we missed both of them

lea, me. raffy & tara jane.

raf has been so busy traveling for work lately,

and has been in california & ny and obviously 

felt like she was being attacked by paparazzi.

some solid angry faces.. lea's doing a whole30..

i was being angry with her for moral support...

and slim's just a bit confused i think?

cheers to friends & laughs & smells of trash.

i had a prosecco slurpee. raf had a run & coke slurpee. 

it was SO delicious- but filled with sugar

& i had a tummy ache for hours.

it was a very hot pink night- color coordinated

bowling

we went bowling last weekend.

i hadn't been bowling in years &

i'm not sure why, because its SO much fun!

purse perfectly. if it had fit, i would have taken it!

i sent my big kid off looking sharp this morning!

slim's going back to school tomorrow...

so tonight i'm going to prep him with this

amazing back to school manicure.

my fabulous cori alerted me yesterday that sometime

at the end of may was the last time i blogged.

we went to the beach and had a great time, although 

we got a nasty tropical storm & only one day of sunshine 

we made the most of it & enjoyed time w/ family!

the beach on our 1st day was beautiful.

the water was peaceful & welcoming.
