baby beluga

are there any raffi fans in the house?
growing up, we were totally into raffi and his baby beluga jam.
sad news to report that the beautiful beluga whale that inspired the song,
kavna passed away at the age of 46.

here's raffi & kavna in the good old days.
baby beluga in the deep blue sea you swim so wild and you swim so free
heaven above and the sea below....

goodbye earl.

on my long and rainy commute home today i plugged my phone in and let it randomly play whatever came up... it was a super fabulous surprise when the dixie chicks came on!! i was a huge fan back in the day, and loved them even more when i learned of their politics and especially for their unwillingness to apologize just to fit in on county radio... anyways, they're music is so memorable & so much fun. i remembered every word of the classic domestic violence/friendship/murder ballad goodbye earl. i was full on jammin out:)
*shout out to my sis-in-law heather, the biggest dixie chicks fan I know!
