we've got a 9.5 pounder!

our rory jane had her two months checkup.

she's almost doubled her birth weight

(not exactly, but i like the way that sounds) 

and took 3 shots like a boss.

she's a petite little peanut- in the 8th percentile for her weight

 but she is gaining like she's preparing for fight night!

watching her grow & loving on her everyday is pure magic. 

we are simply the luckiest.

we had a baby!

this blog just took a turn for the better!

we welcomed our daughter, 

rory jane hunt on august 2nd

at 9:38 in the morning.

she came 3+1/2 weeks early.

we were at a phish concert and my water broke.

my ob is away one week a year & that was the week.

i was able to stick to my birthing plan

of welcoming our child sans medication

& without medical intervention.

laboring and delivering is such an

intense experience.

jim was the most amazing partner.

i couldn't have done it without his empathy,

support, love and strength.

when i gave the final push & we found out

it was a girl, this calmness washed over me.

our daughter, for who we dreamt, wished &

prayed so damn hard for was finally here.

and to top it off, she was absolutely perfect

weighing in at 5lbs+11oz.

one more time...

okay, i'm pretty serious this time- i'm back! i've missed blogging & now have more to share than ever.. but am also busier than ever. prepare yourselves for extreme baby sharing. 

here's me and my girl last night on our walk. this moby wrap carrier is awesome. I made dinner with her in it, ate & then walked the neighborhood.
