murph.

i spent the morning of memorial day

at my gym doing this ridic workout called murph.

it's a memorial workout for a fallen soldier.

the workout consists of:

(rx is wearing a 20lb weight vest, i did not)

1 mile run

100 pull ups

200 push ups

300 squats

1 mile run

i completed it in just under 53 minutes.

after the 1st 1 mile run 

i broke it up in 20 sets of 

5 pull ups, 10 push up, 15 squats.

it's thursday & i'm just now able to begin to

move my arms without pain.

no pain, no gain right?

slim's new truck.

my main man slim got himself a

new truck. yea, it's a diesel. 

i'm not sure, but saying it's got a hemi

just sounds right- a little red, but yea c'mon!

we bought the truck from slim's step-dad who took

such good care of it- it's 8 years old but looks new.

here's our neighbor ole' joy checking out the new ride.

we sold the ever-so faithful toyota truck to carmax.

it was bittersweet.

slim got that truck new 13 years ago when he went to 

school out in montana. it had over 200,000 miles on it

and filled with cross country road trip memories,

 our 1st date and tons of stories from slim's wild &

adventurous college days.

i'm beyond busy at work

and all i want to do is go home & 

paint rocks...

shaky knees

my main squeeze & i braved the elements

and ventured out in the cold & rain to the

shaky knees music festival.

right as we walked into the festival on saturday afternoon

we were instantly soaked and muddy to the knee.

luckily we came prepare with ponchos & good attitudes.

quick- memorize the schedule because it will fall apart

in a few minutes!

my umbrella was clutch!

this was our view of  the band of horses show as we were leaving.

we wanted to get out before the end of the show...

we got to the car, stripped off our soaking wet clothes

 & then i accidentally locked the keys in the trunk.

HUGE shout-out & thank you to my parents

 for going to our house, grabbing the spare keys &

 driving downtown late night to save us. xoxo 

 we were standing around on sunday afternoon 

and i looked over at slim & snapped this pic.

sometimes i look at him & i feel this heart-pang....

like a school girl crush. i just know i'm so lucky

and i can't express how grateful i feel to have my slim. 

a few minutes of sunshine on sunday afternoon before the storm.

the lumineers put on the most fantastic show.

high energy & i just love allof their music.

totally worth the price of admission & 

standing in the cold rain for hours... for sure.

i didn't think i could love them more...
