my beautiful friend eleanor 

became a mom on september 23rd!

baby fitzpatrick hocking johnson arrived

perfectly at 6lbs 12 oz.

my girl elly looks absolutely perfect post-delivery

with her picture perfect little family!

eleanor & i have been friends since our

freshman year of college. we were pledge sisters,

political allies, roommates obsessed with sex & the city

and we even pushed our twin beds together to make a big bed!

seeing these pics of her as a new mom warms me

and bring me such happiness. love you, elly j!

i took a little blog break, but after countless*

calls for my return, here i am!

slim & i have been enjoying the change in

seasons and traveled to colorado a few

weeks ago to celebrate our anniversary.

apples & cinnamon yogurt? it's amazing.

i snapped this pic rather dangerously while

enjoying it on my commute on the first day of fall.

my cute new skirt just happened to match!

yesterday, i had the privilege to attend

the annual culture change summit 

where like-minded people joined  

together and worked on improving

our world and the way we care for our elders.

dr. al power, an awesome advocate & author

was they keynote speaker. wow, he's good!

he is inspiring, funny & making things happen.

debbi & i got our books signed & snagged a photo!

we are family.

tess latain lozano

it is with great joy i present baby tess!

tess took her sweet time, baking

away in tara's tummy for two extra weeks

& made her debut on july 19th at 4:05am.

yum! tess weighed in at a healthy 9.1oz 

& 21.5 inches long.

i think she looks like jeff w/ tara's beautiful bow lips.

my love & pride & awe for tara is too much to handle.

she is already the most loving & affectionate mother.

tara has always had such a defined warmth about her.

i remember feeling it the minute i met her at 

my freshman orientation at wcu in 2003.

i'm beyond thrilled to be a part of this 

excellent adventure with the lozano's!
